  • Flexitol shows a clean pair of heels to scoop top beauty award


    Flexitol enjoyed a ‘good heel day’ when the brand’s top-selling Heel Balm walked away with a prestigious prize at the annual Beauty Magazine Awards 2009.

    The balm, which can turn heels from cracked and crusty to clear and classy in as little as a fortnight, beat off the opposition from six other shortlisted products to win the award for Classic Feet and Legs Product of the year.

    Steve McGowan, national sales and marketing manager for M&A Pharmachem, which distributes Flexitol in the UK, said: “It is wonderful to see this star product being recognised, especially it was up against strong opposition on a shortlist which contained two other heel products.

    “The fact that the awards are voted for by readers of the magazine – the people who recommend and sell these products every day – makes it particularly special.

    “We know, not just from growing sales, but also from feedback from customers, just how effective Flexitol Heel Balm is for all kinds of people from fashionistas who want their feet to look great in the latest shoes to older people and diabetics suffering from dry and cracked heels.

    “This is the second Beauty Magazine Award for Flexitol foot products – last year Flexitol Foot De-Odour was a winner. So we can only look forward now to next year and hope we can achieve a hat trick!”

    In the last eight years, the Beauty Magazine Awards have established themselves as one of the premier and most prestigious awards in the beauty trade calendar and this year there were more than 1,000 individual entries.

    A dedicated expert panel review all the entries and decide on a shortlist for each award and readers of Beauty Magazine are asked to vote on the shortlist, with the winners announced at a gala night, held this year at London’s Sea Life Aquarium.
