  • Stars spread ‘Sunshine at Christmas’

JLS, The Saturdays, Taio Cruz, Dionne Bromfield, George Sampson, Ruth Lorenzo and saxophonist Julian Smith, will be amongst the stars performing for seriously ill children at the ‘Sunshine at Christmas’ concert taking place at The Troxy, East London, on Friday 11th December. JK and Joel will be hosting the event.

The concert has been organised by Rays of Sunshine children's charity which grants wishes for seriously ill children. This is the first concert ever staged by the charity, and was inspired when JB from JLS became an ambassador in October 2009.

Around 1,000 seriously ill children and their families will put their illness on hold for a night of incredible entertainment and the opportunity to do something regular healthy kids take for granted.

Remaining tickets are being sold to help subsidize the cost of the event. Limited tickets are still available from Seetickets from £35. Doors will open at 6.30pm and the show will start at 7.30pm.

Jane Sharpe, Vice Chairman of Rays of Sunshine said:
'We are delighted with the superb line-up, which is largely due to the fact that this event is not about fundraising, but making sure hundreds of seriously ill children have a spectacular night out.'

JLS said: 'JLS first became aware of Rays of Sunshine when they brought some wish children along to X Factor last year. When it came to selecting a favourite charity, JB was delighted to choose Rays of Sunshine. Christmas is a special time of year for everyone and we feel privileged to be helping to spread some happiness and sunshine to so many families at Sunshine at Christmas'.
