Virgin/EMI have teamed up with The Baby Einstein Company to release the first TV advertised CD compilation in the range. My Baby Einstein Album will contain a hour long CD of themed classical music in four sections that correspond to baby's mood - Wake Up, On the Move, Play Time and Good Night, plus a bonus DVD at a great value price.
The DVD will be a Read Along comprising poems, music and discoveries for mum and baby to share. There's two programmes - On The Farm and Lullabies And Sweet Dreams. There will be an option to either listen to the pre-recorded narration or switch that off and read directly to baby from words on the screen along with colourful visuals to look at. Parents will be able to choose to play the pieces from start to finish, or to have a page turning option where they can move onto the next screen themselves. The two programmes have the Read Along element followed by either a song or some lullabies.
The Baby Einstein Company is the award-winning creator of infant developmental media and the best selling brand of videos specifically designed for babies and toddlers. A range of videos, DVDs, Discovery Cards, books, audio CDs, puppets, toys, and infant products expose little ones to the world around them through the use of real world objects, music, art, language, science, poetry and nature.
The Baby Einstein Company was started in 1997 by a mum when she discovered that there were no age-appropriate products available to help her share her love of art, classical music, language and poetry with her newborn daughter. To fill this void, she created the very first Baby Einstein video title - Baby Einstein Language Nursery. The company's name was inspired by Albert Einstein. Combining her extensive classroom experience with her new parent status, she created a line of instructional videos designed to expose her daughter to the humanities in a fun, interactive way. Most importantly, these products were created from a baby's perspective. The success of her products travelled fast and as this “Parent-to-Parent” word of mouth increased demand for additional products, she expanded the original video line to include a suite of complementary products.
The Baby Einstein product line is now part of The Walt Disney Company. Babies are captivated by Baby Einstein products because they are made from their point-of-view and include baby-friendly images, gentle motion, deliberate pacing and re-orchestrated music that appeals to little ears. Baby Einstein products are not designed to make babies smarter.
