  • Get your belly back on track this New Year

It's estimated that one in three people is affected by IBS at some point in their lives. If you’re one of these people then the over indulgence of Christmas and New Year will undoubtedly, unless you’ve been very regimented, have left you with a bloated belly and tummy troubles. Whilst there are various drugs available that can help you get your belly back on track in January a natural solution may provide a more effective treatment…

A study, carried out at the University of Reading2, showed that an amazing 96% of patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) rated ‘artichoke leaf extract’ as better than or equal to previous therapies administered for their IBS symptoms. The study used human volunteers and it was found that, over a six week period, those taking artichoke leaf extract saw significant reductions in the severity of their symptoms and favourable evaluations of overall effectiveness for artichoke leaf extract were reported by both physicians and patients.

    Organic Artichoke Tea

An easy and effective way to enjoy artichoke is with Natur Boutique’s Organic Artichoke Tea, which is now available from Holland and Barrett stores nationwide and costs just £2.99 per box. It is used just like any other herbal tea; simply add hot water and enjoy not only its taste, but also its potential benefits.

Please note: Pregnant and breast feeding women should seek advice from their doctors before using artichoke extracts. Artichoke leaf extract should not be taken in the presence of gallstones or other bile duct occlusion, due to its bile stimulating effects.
