  • Would you buy your son makeup and skincare?

Maleskin.co.uk As the popularity of men's makeup and skincare grows in modern day Britain, it appears as though there's a new consumer fueling the flame of demand for such products. Along with the metro sexual man, who typically has to battle common skin complaints on a daily basis, such as spots, acne and blackheads, it's now the turn of Britain's mum's to help transform their son's confidence and look with make-up.

MMUK MAN report that their hugely popular concealer stick and foundation for men are among the most popular products purchased by mum's for their son's. Whilst retailer MaleSkin.co.uk commented that women's purchases most commonly fall at the foot of face scrubs, cleansers and even face masks, all of which are geared to improve the condition of younger men's skin.

So, why is it down to the women of Britain and why aren't our little chaps taking the reins themselves?

MMUK MAN believe that young guys are still quite embarrassed about buying male cosmetics, nor have the experience to choose the right products in the right shades. Women, naturally have more experience with makeup and automatically know what would suit their son's best. Furthermore, the sheer power of cosmetics aren't something that are put under the noses of teenagers in particular,. So, in a lot of cases the decision is completely made by mothers.

Meanwhile, MaleSkin's spokesman Alexander Dalley said 'Following a good men's skincare regime to clear conditions such as acne can be quite expensive. Female's are buying skin care products for their son’s, brothers and partners, in most cases, as gifts and with the benefits they offer, they are being more than well received.’

So ladies, would you be tempted to give the gift of flawless skin and a fresh face for your son's Birthday or Christmas present? Would seeing the smile on his face make you want nothing but more as men's cosmetic trends continue to burst out the seams?

Boasting over 300 products between them both, MaleSkin and MMUK MAN certainly pack a serious punch. As we head further into 2014 make it a summer he'll never forget as acne, spots and troublesome skin become nothing but a distant memory.
