  • Londoners Set For A Hole Lot Of Fun With The Return Of The Hoop

Beyonce does it, Liv Tyler does it, even Michelle Obama does it. It’s the latest fitness craze to hit the UK and it’s…Hula Hooping!?!?

Ok so not so new, but this retro pastime is making a comeback and in a big way. All the celebs over the pond are doing it, and hot on their heels, CitySocialising - the UK’s leading socialising network for young professionals wanting to meet new people, has teamed up with Polestars to offer their London based members the chance to relive their favorite playground pastime and make new friends in the process.

The Hula Hooping craze has been and gone in circles throughout the decades but 2010 is set to be the year of the hoop and with the promise of burning as many as 100 calories every ten minutes it’s no surprise!

Sanchita from CitySocialising said “Not only is the Hula Hoop great for burning the calories and toning your stomach, our girls only classes are also a great way to have some fun, boost your mood and confidence, not to mention a chance to make some fantastic New Friends along the way.”

Fear not if your childhood hooping skills have deserted you, your first class promises to teach you some basic moves that should have you hooping like you’re nine again. Focusing on posture and control, like Pilates the class promises to work on your core muscles.

Once you’ve got the fundamental moves mastered who knows you could be the next Hula Hooping record breaker (the current record is 107 hoops hooped simultaneously – easy!)

Any women interested in taking up the classes should visit CitySocialising for details of the classes and how they can get involved.
